Do really know what other people can see about you on the internet?

A lot of people say that I am a weird internet guy because I like finding out things about people on the internet. I find it fun to search out people’s dark secrets. It’s really amazing what you can find out by just doing a little Googling. Old pictures from parties, costumes, drinking fun, and others can show up like blaring flags to anyone who wishes to use the Google machine. I personally have found old modeling photos of colleagues, previous artwork, social outings, and even embarrassing photos associated with various people I have come to know. It’s like knowing them….without knowing them.

I would probably agree that it is a little creepy and a little invasive, but this is an all-true reality everyone faces each day. It’s becoming more and more common for organizations who are looking to hire someone, they search them out on the interweb first to do a preliminary scouting. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn are the biggest culprits who people tend to open up to quite easily and expose very sensitive information about themselves here. It would be wise to be cautious about what you show and what you don’t.

If you don’t believe me, think like a prospective employer and do a very simple investigatory task…Google yourself!

Photographical Compositional Help for Beginners

An essential photographic tool that a good photographer will often use is compositional rules. Compositional rules refer to the simple act of framing your subject in the viewfinder in such a  way to make the final picture of greater interest or to have greater impact. It is not unusual for a new photographer to frame a subject exactly in the middle of the viewfinder to do this. While this is technically not bad, this sort of composition usually isn’t very interesting.

Compositional rules are really just guidelines…there really aren’t any rules in photography period. Depending on the subject and situation, using these guidelines will teach you to see your pictures in a different way and change your approach to photography in a very positive and different matter. Let’s take a peek at some of them.
